Flexible Line Replacement Project in Libya
Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd in Aberdeen UK have successfully completed the mobilization, offshore operations and demobilization scope for Ocean Installer Ltd in Libya. The project started mid- Sept 2017 and completed successfully at the end of Oct 2017.
Ocean Installer was contracted to recover an existing 10 inch production riser and install a 10 inch oil production dynamic and static riser at an offshore field situated close to the Tunisian border. In this project, Aquatic was subcontracted to support the project through the provision of a full set of back deck flexible lay equipment, hich includes a 500Te Reel Drive System, a 50Te Tensioner System, a Lay Ramp, Tracks Systems for multi-reels and the provision of offshore personnel on the Fugro Symphony vessel.
The mobilisation and demobilisation phases were completed safely and on schedule. Aquatic’s personnel installed, commissioned and operated the flexible lay equipment offshore during laydown of old riser and installation of new riser. At the end of the project, they received complimentary feedback and a message of appreciation from the client for services provided during the campaign. This project is another example of how Aquatic’s enhanced customer-driven service addresses the evolving needs of the industry and assists clients by delivering greater operational efficiencies.
