Aquatic appoints Oiltech Consultancy Services to progress India business

Aquatic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, an Acteon company, and subsidiary of Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd has appointed Oiltech Consultancy Services (OCS) to market their impressive portfolio of flex-lay solutions, engineering services, patented equipment and skilled offshore personnel to operators and subsea contractors in India.

OCS has extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry and provides support to multi-disciplinary design, engineering, products and consulting companies for the Indian oil & gas upstream sector.  Their market reputation, network, industry knowledge, and compliance undertakings were deciding factors when looking for an agent to represent Aquatic in this region.

The appointment will see Nick Dale, Aquatic’s regional manager (right) with the remit for winning business in Indian waters, work in close collaboration with OCS to increase exposure to subsea companies across the continent.  This association comes at a time when the Indian Government seeks to permit the survey of hundreds of thousands of kilometers offshore and companies such as ONGC continue to discover gas fields offshore eastern and western India.

Based in Mumbai, OCS has been active in the industry since 1980 and has strong relationships with local operators and installers, enabling them to introduce successfully and integrate non-resident companies into the Indian oil & gas market. OCS currently represents more than 20 leading companies from Europe, USA, and Asia, including JDR Cables UK and Hydratight Ltd.

Nick explains “The appointment of OCS is essential in developing Aquatic’s presence across India, increasing our global footprint and providing a connection between our growth and successes in the Middle East and Asia. Having completed several projects in India over the last four decades, we look forward to welcoming OCS to our sales and business development team while bringing our global expertise and professional service to clients in India to support upcoming offshore development subsea construction and IRM activities”.

Ashish Soni, Director of OCS (left), adds “Aquatic complements our existing trading principals, and this broadens our ability to package solutions to our clients.  There are lots of exciting opportunities coming up which will require both Aquatic's equipment and the overall service, people and solutions they deliver in other parts of the globe.”
